Markdown export with more than one hash level?

Ah, again, thank you for your time in writing this. I understand even better now. I did not know about the " " option in Markdown, but in this case, I was importing a Word Document and having it split by headers, so the checkboxes for RTF staff were helpful in my case, though I haven’t played with the Pandoc to DOC yet, as you pointed out. I do get the attraction of writing everything in Markdown, to begin with. It’s the best way to get a clean, well-formatted document on the other end. I did install Pandoc, and those extra options showed up like magic. I’ll have to experiment with the Pandoc to DOCX.

in Markdown proper, to do the above, you’d need to escape the return" indeed "n some fashion to achieve that, either with a “" at the end of the line or by leaving two spaces—otherwise, all would end up in the same paragraph. You don’t have to do that for normal paragraphs, just informal lists”.
