Memo and Notes

Hi Scrivener team !
i am a iPad Scrivener happy user . I wrote on a 13" M4 iPad Pro with keyboard and I find the Scrivener experience really smooth on iPad even with less features than the Mac versions . It has almost all I want to write something . I miss one thing : the possibility to write quick notes, memos, links , correction that came to my mind and to put these notes directly on the piece of work I am writing on , like you know the comments in excel if you know what I mean . I like to have all my thoughts in one place and not to have to navigate side bars to go to my research notes and so on.
Do you think it will be a good shot to have in a future release for iPad

I may have misunderstood what you’re looking for, but can’t you already attach notes to documents in much the same way you do on the desktop versions?

I.e. on the iPad with an external keyboard, when you’re in your document, tap cmd-opt-i (I think) to bring up the inspector panel, then tap on the notes field, and you can add notes in the normal way – so they’ll be with your project whether you’re on the iPad or the desktop.

Sorry if I’ve misunderstood what you want!

It sounds like they don’t want to leave the text editor (though with an iPad having the Inspector open is not intrusive, as it can take over the left sidebar).

Maybe I don’t understand how opening a comment box in a spreadsheet is very different from expanding Notes in the inspector. But whatever the case, one can do either: select some text and insert a comment with the Pencil button (third auxiliary keyboard set). That is pretty much the same as what is shown from Excel, but if you want your notes even more visible, so that you aren’t having to open the note to read it, there are inline annotations.

Thank you very much , it’s really a nice feature I was not aware of. I opened the manual again and i’m already testing it . Inline annotations and comments are exactly what I was looking for!
