Menubar Icons in Tahoe and Terminal Command

I have noticed that Scrivener does not obey the terminal command to hide the new menubar icons provided in this: https://512pixels.net/2026/03/hide-macos-tahoes-menu-icons-with-this-one-simple-trick/

I’m not complaining, nor am I demanding it should comply.

I’d like to know why they don’t vanish in Scrivener when they do in other apps. Even when the command is applied, some icons remain for apps which “comply”.

Thanks,

J

We are looking into this. Part of the problem is that at its simplest these methods would wipe out all icons, and in Scrivener there are some areas where icons would be desired, such as in the submenus that preset the whole binder like Navigate ▸ Go To or the templates menu does.

Thanks for posting that trick though, it definitely makes things cleaner in most cases.
