Merge Window to > Merged Windows

When working on a Series and I have merged documents for that series into a Merged Window set, which allows me to quickly reference the previous documents in the series, without waiting for the Documents to be opened. It helps me with continuity.

There are commands to move between document Tabs, to remove a document from the Merge, and to merge all open Documents into a single windows. These are all great.

And here is my ask:

I could see where having more than one Merged Window set would be helpful.
It could be helpful to have the ability to save a Merged Window Set and then Open the Merged Window Set with a single click.

Justification:
if you have more than one series, which are either inter-linked; or written in the same Universe or World; Having the ability to have more than one Merge Window Set could be useful to maintain continuity between series.
If series A in directly involved with ‘Big Event One’. While in Series B they observe or receives news about the event.

So opening Series A’s Set, as a set, would speed searching for the exact event.

Additions needed:
The ability for more than one Merged Window Set
The ability to move a document into an open Merged Window Set
Open, Save and Close a Merge Window Sets.
Naming Window Sets

Added ability to the Find and Replace Command:
Merge Window Search, searches all Documents within the selected Merged Window
Global Search, searching all open documents.

Thank you
Bob

I agree, these are some good ideas, and there should be a lot more flexibility with this feature, such as being able to merge whatever you want from whatever software, instead of just windows from one program—but these are all requests to be made to Apple.

These are functions provided by the operating system that are added to Scrivener’s menus automatically.

Then I will make the request to Apple.
It is a wonderful feature, just lacks a little depth.

Yup! I agree, now we just need to get Microsoft to add anything at all though, so that Windows users can have them too.
