Metadata: field "duration minutes:seconds"

Metadata offers a “date”-field, but not “duration in minutes: seconds”. For planning scenes that would be very helpful - combined a function to add all duration-entries, so that I as Author knows how long is that altogether what I am planning.

I do have an idea, but I’m not at my Mac now. I’ll test it and get back to you within about 5 hours.

Two possibilities, either will work:

  1. Create a custom metadata field called “Duration”. Set its type to Date. Set its custom date format to “mm:ss” so that only the minutes and seconds fields are accessible. Use at will.
  2. Create a custom metadata field called “Duration”. Set its type to Text. Be sure that “wrap text” is not checked. Enter your durations into the field free-form.
