Type the following into any app running under ML and it will crash the app:-
File: followed by three / (If I reproduce it exactly it will crash Safari)

I doubt that in practice it will affect many people since it is an unusual key combination, but thought it worth reporting
Thanks! That certainly does seem to work, though since it crashes everything I doubt it is anything we can do something about. There are all kinds of bugs like this throughout the text system that exist within libraries we do not have access to. Reporting bugs like this to Apple is the best solution.
Meanwhile, a capital ‘F’ in a file protocol link isn’t strictly proper (and never should be necessary) anyway, so it is easy enough to avoid it.
What a silly bug though!
