christmas is coming and here is my wishlist for Scrivener 3.0.
As I am writing mostly non-fiction stuff, I wish more tools for non-fiction authors, like:
a simple bibliography tool (like a very simple Bookends)
the possibility to add footnotes with little numbers (that are count from the first page of the project) like in Word or Pages (instead of marking a full word or more for a footnote like now)
a little better outlining option in the text (like in pages, where you can tell, with what number an ordered list should start …)
And if you keep in mind, that my birthday is coming in march, I wish Scrivener as an iPad application (or a simple Scrivener-to-go for the iPad)
Thanks for this wonderful software. I will mention it in my first book, that I just writing with it.
It will always be better just to use a tool like Bookends or Sente - it wouldn’t make much sense for me to spend months coding a bibliography tool which would be inferior to one of those already available.
Unlikely ever to happen because Scrivener isn’t a page layout tool.
Maybe one day. Currently Scrivener uses the bullets and lists provided by Apple (which they don’t use themselves in Pages). It’s a low priority, but one day it would be nicer to have better lists and tables.
Get yourself an 11" MacBook Air. Soooo much nicer than an iPad.
Thanks! And while I might not be Santa Claus this year, there are plenty more Christmases ahead…
