Moving data from macOS Scrivener 3.2.3 to Windows Scrivener 3

My old MacBook Air has Scrivener 3.2.3 and I want to move my data into a new HP Windows computer on which I have purchased Window Scrivener 3.

Is this do-able?

Yes. Just copy or move the project(s).

Hello lyeasley, and welcome to the forum.

I edited your earlier post to remove your personal information since this is a publicly accessed forum.

drmajorbob’s answer is succinct and accurate. Since I prefer the more long-winded version, I’ll provide some more details about what you’ll want to do.

To start with, we have this Knowledge Base article that provides some tips and suggestions for working across platforms.

One of the reasons I like sending it is the screenshots about how the project file’s appearance changes from the Mac to the PC can be helpful.

For migrating your Scrivener projects, you can use a USB drive, a cloud server, or even email ZIP copies from your Mac to the PC.

If you’re considering using a cloud-syncing service, this Knowledge Base article can provide some tips about best practices.

If any of this is unclear, please let us know.

Scrivener files are cross-platform compatible, so nothing special needed to prep them for a platform change. Just transfer your files from one computer to the other with an external drive or other method of choice.
