Multiple Changes Hours Before Deadline

Just now, with an hour to go before submitting my senior thesis, I have come across these glitches:
• Switching documents within a project no longer returns to the last viewed page.
• Block quotes are suddenly in Courier (?), rather than the document typeface (Georgia)
• Style does not revert to that of the rest of the page below a block quote
• Comments are no longer highlighted to denote the comment specific to the highlighted text to which the comment refers, i.e. there is no telling which comment relates to the highlighted text I’ve selected.

I installed Monterey 12.2 a few days ago. Is that why now things have gone haywire?

When you installed Monterey, did you also install the latest version of Scrivener, 3.2.3? If not, please do.

Hi kewms,

I had Scrivener 3.2.3 installed prior to installing Monterey 12.2

The most likely issue, then, is that you changed something about the Compile format. For instance, the Block Quote changing fonts might happen if you applied the universal font override, or if you switched to a format that used Courier as its baseline. It might also happen if you used a computer that didn’t have Georgia installed.

Since time is of the essence, the fastest way to address this is probably to open a support ticket, and attach a copy of the project.

You can email a project by using the File → Backup → Backup To command, and checking the box to create a ZIP backup.

This is one of the main reasons I don’t change OS while in the middle of a project.

Unfortunately another project required video editing software, which necessitated an update. Otherwise, yes, I concur.

Sometimes we are forced by circumstance to do things we ought not to do.
