I’m not trying to get into the middle of the icon debate (I think the new one’s gorgeous!) but apparently my copy of 2.0 has an opinion. It’s showing the old, rectangular, secret-S icon rather than the new, square, obvious-S one.
Isn’t that weird? It’s definitely 2.0 (I clicked on “About” just to make sure I wasn’t daft.)
Nothing seems to be wrong. But I thought you all might just like to know, since it’s…odd.
This might be some kind of cache problem.
Try removing the old 1.54 icon from the Dock.
If successful, the old icon will make a poof and vanish.
Then launch 2.0. You should see the new icon.
If not, the Finder is still following the 1.54 path.
You might trash 1.54 or move it to a new folder location.
Then drag the 2.0 to Dock, select it and Options: Keep in Dock.
If you still have a problem, run Disk Utility and Repair Permissions.
It may also help to log out and back in, or just restart.
Taking it out of the dock seems to have done the trick. Thanks!
