Names

I’ve only just started using Scrivener in earnest ( it’s utterly fantastic, why did I wait so long?) and what I’m asking may be obvious to more experienced Scrivenauts. When I used to use the (very) old Amstrad PCW to write plays, I could store all the characters’ names and then, whilst writing, paste them into the text with two keystrokes ( control+initial letter of character’s name, or something like that). Is there a similar facility in Scrivener?

You can add them to the auto-complete list (Project > Auto-Complete List - and Scrivener’s play-writing formats actually add names automatically as you type, too). These will pop-up as you go to type the names in scriptwriting mode. Alternatively, you can use a tool such as TextExpander, which is great for this sort of thing.
All the best,
Keith

My word, you’re quick, Keith! Many thanks.
