Select a container, use outline view.

in View | Outliner Columns, show titles and synopsis, and some other stuff (i’ve got custom metadata, too). Deselect the TITLE; leave “and synopsis” selected.

The synopsis disappears as well. May be deliberate.

Add the Title back in, and it’s placed all the way to the right; it is not placed in the order listed in the Outliner Columns menu.

Shouldn’t the default be to have them in the order listed?

These are as intended. “and Synopsis” is dependent on “Title” and so will be removed when Title is.

Outliner Columns are added in the order chosen so you can decide how you would like the layout just by clicking them in your preferred order.
