New beta for MacOs Catalina?

I run the beta version of macOS Catalina and want you to ask, if there is a beta version of scrivener itself that runs on that os?

From that point scrivener doesn’t work on the new os. This is nothing special because its a beta but it would be nice to know if there is a known workaround or even a beta version that fix the problem.

thanks
Florian

In terms of the current build not working, perhaps wiping the plists might help:

You should not expect to see Catalina-specific updates until quite a bit closer to the release date.

Katherine

Considering Scrivener works on IOS 13 flawlessly, we should be able to see an updated working version for MacOS 10.15 Catalina

That’s an entirely different piece of software running on another operating system—it is not going to be an effective gauge for what should work on Windows or a Mac.

With MacOS Catalina Beta 2 Scrivener works perfectly again.

Glad to hear it! Thanks for the update.

Hi! Is there a a Catalina beta release one can test? or is there a restricted beta program ongoing?

Do you mean is there a beta version of macOS 10.15 Catalina that can be tested? Absolutely, Apple just released it to the public today.

If you mean of Scrivener, no there isn’t. But we shouldn’t be too long in getting a compatibility patch out. There isn’t that much to fix, but given what needs to be fixed, it’s more important to get it out there than have a protracted testing period.

You closed my other thread on negative right-hand margins JUST before I would have updated it to say I found (in an older thread) your checklist for resetting display settings. That probably solves the problem.

UPDATE: no. It recreated the problem … but close and reopen got rid of it. Maybe.

Now that Catalina is actually out, the scaling of scrivener’s text space is really small? Anybody looking for a fix on this?
