Morning all - well… day 16 - more than half way and I may have to be defeated. After restarting several times - and still no flow - it’s just not working!

How is this for procrastination - I’ve decided to paint xmas baubles! At least I’m seasonal, I guess!

How is everyone else doing?

Doing okay. Would you be able to join Saturday morning’s write-in (approx 1 hour)? I know last Saturday’s one helped @CallyRose

Good to hear that you feel better. To perform well in NaNoWriMo during such times and the editing afterwards, I’d be concerned with cognitive function, so I would eat more garlic, drink more water and take more vitamins (veg, fruits esp. citrus) to keep my brain in good shape. And certainly I would make time for having fun e.g. music (and writing!). Hope this little suggestion helps.

Christmas baubles sound fab! And excellent procrastination - 5 gold stars for you :star::star::star::star::star:
Don’t worry about the word count, @Susan67. It’s a weird arbitrary goal. It’s worked for me as I need deadlines and has let me stop thinking too much about it and just let random words that make very little sense spew forth. But I think what also worked was I set myself a much lower personal goal as I was petrified of that 50,000. I guess that’s a very roundabout way of saying - What do you want to get out of NaNo? It doesn’t matter if it’s what NaNo is saying a win is. Sounds like you’re thinking about it and trying to structure it - so that’s all going in the right direction - character sketches, location descriptions - rough outline splurges - all good, good, good  I’m getting my cheerleading pompoms out (they look a lot like Christmas baubles) and cheering you on - whatever you decide to do.

   and that was an epic procrastination from me as I’m meant to be doing 15 minutes before starting work. I award myself 1 gold star :star2:

@CallyRose don’t be so hard on yourself that was so deserving of 5+ stars :star2::star2::star2::star2::star2::star2::star2::star2::star2::star2:

So today is half day for me so I am going to try and stop procrastinating and get on.

Everyone doing ok?

I’m sorry, @thegirlclaudia I’m not going to make this one. A very full weekend of babysitting and birthday celebrations. I hope it’s as productive as the last weeks.

Has stopping procrastinating worked? Or have got loads more Xmas decorations? I’m not doing well today - or yesterday for that matter - but going with the flow. It’s going to be a busy weekend, so going to try and make time tomorrow. Fingers crossed :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

That’s alright. If moving it earlier or later helps, I could reschedule it.

Update: I moved the Write-In to Sunday Nov 21, 6am UK time. Same link.

@thegirlclaudia , that’s so kind of you but I’m afraid the whole weekend is out for me. It’s a very busy weekend after a very busy week. I’m going to try to catch up today with the odd 10 minute here and there. Good luck everyone.
