No empty Line

As I’ve understood how Scrivener works for compiling, it seems there is something wrong (in Scrivener, or in my mind).

I have a text with a carriage return at the end of paragraph.
Then for the compilation an empty line should be used to separate the paragraph.
Unfortunately that doesn’t work.

Please take a look at the attached files, and tell me what is wrong.

From what I see of your screenshot, you have one document you are compiling and are expecting Separators, which insert stuff in between documents, to do something? All I see are three paragraphs, not three documents, so no, there should be no empty line inserted into the compiled output at all.

What is it you are attempting to accomplish here? There may be another tool that can do what you want. For instance, you can use the Replacements panel to search for one carriage return (use Opt-Return to insert one without confirming the edit) and replace it with two of them.
