Hi,
Just downloaded trial version of Scrivener for Mac. Unfortunately, the program, although installed without a problem, failed to start. Tried twice, but no luck. I am using Yosemite Public Beta 10.10.3 on a late 2012 Mac Mini.

Are you referring to the Finder message that states a program cannot run on the current system configuration (often accompanied by a “Do Not” badge on top of the software icon in Finder)? I have not tried running the beta version of the next OS X release, so I cannot confirm this, but I have seen programs act that way as a result of simple installation error. I don’t know what causes it, just some OS X bug as far as I can tell, but trashing the .app that isn’t working and dragging in a fresh copy from the DMG you downloaded should work. I general there shouldn’t be anything prohibiting it from running on 10.10.3.
I’m using Scrivener 2.6 on Yosemite Public Beta 10.10.3 and it works fine.
You have Scrivener 2.6, I assume.

Perhaps a reinstall will help.
Thanks,
The link you have provided did the trick. It installed OK.

A pleasure.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Scrivener.
