Not Receiving Emails from Literature and Latte

When I purchased Scrivener, I never received an email with the license attached, so I thought that maybe I’d mistyped the email when entering it into the form. I sent along a message to support, but didn’t receive an automated “we’ve received your message!” email either, so now I’m a little nervous that I’m not receiving any Literature and Latte messages at all. However, I did receive the verification message from the forum email when I created this account. I also was able to receive a verification email from the tenderapp page when I created an account there. But nothing from the usual Literature and Latte address.

There are no messages in any other folders, including spam, and I triple-checked the blocked users just in case the address somehow ended up in there.

I know it’s a holiday weekend, so I’m not expecting a quick answer. I was curious if anyone else has had this problem, though, before I email support a second time using my work email.

Hi there Carly,

Welcome to the forums.

I don’t think is a common problem, but it does happen here and there.

I’m tagging @AmberV and @kewms of L&L support, so they’ll see this when they return to the forum.

Best,
Jim

In case anyone else has the same problem, staff somehow got a hold of me through my original support message. They must be magic! Everything is all set now. Thanks to everyone for their help.

If you find yourself with the same problem, send a message over to support. Even if you don’t get an automated email, someone may get back to you with your license.

Glad you got the response we sent! At the moment we do have the auto-reply disabled for the contact form, which is why you didn’t get anything. We were getting too much spam through it for a bit, and a particular major email routing service has the brain-dead policy of blocking whole domains if enough subject lines look like spam (they don’t even scan the content to confirm). Since the auto-reply uses the original query title as the subject, it was “sending spam” according this brilliant policy.

Excuse my humour… appears to be an evolving censorship strategy of the emerging (soon to be AI enhanced) overlords!! What have we done? …my warped thinking made me chuckle on first read.
