I’m using KDE4.5. I used to use Enlightenment, but I got tired of it lacking more modern innovations in window management. Haven’t tried DR17 or whatever it’s called these days. 
I posted this to a new thread (this one is getting a bit unwieldy), but thought Linux users might see this one first. So…if you are having issues with bad pdf rendering in Scrivener under Wine, try installing Apple’s Quicktime. I used winetricks to install Quicktime 7. Now my pdf files look great in Scrivener.
