Notes are being magnified when cliked on to move them

When I click on a note I’ve created it is magnified/enlarged making it impossible to line up with other notes or create straight connecting lines

Hmm, that isn’t something that the software itself should be doing, at least in my experience. Do you perhaps have something enabled in your OS settings that would change how drag and drop objects appear while on the mouse pointer?

That aside, there are two tools for keeping things lined up and straight that work a lot better than drag and drop in my opinion:

  1. The commands in the Notes ▸ Align ▸ submenu.
  2. The Edit ▸ Arrow Keys Move Notes toggle (the M key). With this you can nudge notes around by pixel, or by holding down Shift about 5 at a time, and Shift+Ctrl for about 10.
