Speaking of the transfictive, I have realized now the sorely missed opportunity in my chapter. There is a scene where Warne and DS Scott talk over lunch. I should have had Scott order soup so that he might taste it (perhaps with just a hint of slurp) and say, “Nice soup.”

Yes, but positively NOT Dolphin soup. A nice, light, carrot driven, stone soup, perhaps?
At this point in Earth history, probably all water is dolphin water, having at some point — how shall I say? — commingled, let us say swirled with the sea the dolphin-churned sea. So, what are we to say about any of these soups, really? But a nice clear hospital broth might have done the trick. Good point. Got me there. (The stones they use to make that stuff does not leave the kitchen since they can be reused indefinitely.)

I literally have this problem. All our drinking water is desalinated. And I can see them watering in the water.

There were quite a few broken links and poorly loading images as a result of the forum upgrade both at novelinaday.com and in the various book pages here. I think I’ve fixed them all now, but if anyone spots any I’ve missed let me know!
