Numbered Bullets are Outdented rather than Indented

Hello good people,

How can I get numbered bullets to indent rather than outdent when typing in Scrivener?

When typing in Scrivener, and clicking the numbered bullets icon, Scrivener outdents the bullets nine spaces to the left of the text margin, butting them up against the text editor screen’s left edge.

Example:

         Here is a sample sentence and under it I'll add some numbered bullets.
1. This
2. That
3. The other thing

This is visually jarring. Normally word processors INDENT them.

I think if you make the sentence longer than 1 line you’ll see the list is aligned with the left edge of the paragraph.
