“Sync With External Folder” feature allows one to prefix exported files with their sequence number as per the order in which they are seen in the Binder. However, I see that it goes like: “1, 2, 3 … 10, 11, 12 … 100, 101, 102 …” That can be inconvenient in some external software or file managers, which would sort it like: “1, 10, 100, 101 … 2, 20, 21 … 3, 30, 31 …”
Is that permanent, or is there a setting that would add leading zeroes? 001, 002, 003 … 010, 011, 012 … etc.? Am I missing something here?
I didn’t mean the trailing numbers in square brackets. Those are for tracking, I know that. I meant the prefixes that can be turned on or off in the sync options. When on, sync outputs filenames something like this:
10 Chapter Name [11].md
So, I was talking about the first number. Obviously they are not mandatory, since they are off by default (if I remember correctly). Would be great if leading zeroes could be added when this option is checked, so that the resulting files would be sorted correctly everywhere. Unfortunately, not all software understands that after 1 there goes 2 and not 10 (and then 100).
