I purchased Scrivener a long time ago, but haven’t used the PC I installed it on in years. I never got around to the promised 3.0 upgrade I paid for. Unfortunately, I get a “Scrivener is all up to date” message when I try to do it now.
I was just going to bite the bullet and buy another license when I noticed it went up to 60 dollars! It was only 45 on Monday.
So…how do I recover my original license so I can upgrade from version 1.9.16.0?
I don’t think you guys have my e-mail anymore, as I tried to log into the forum and it couldn’t find me. I had to create a new account.
I want to start writing again and hope Scrivener is the way to go. I’d like to move a 3.x license to a new PC before this 12-year-old laptop dies.
If that doesn’t work, please open a support ticket, here:
We can’t handle license issues through the forum for privacy reasons.
You can download the latest version here:
We don’t automatically update major releases because we don’t want someone to suddenly find themselves in trial mode and needing to buy a new license. But Scrivener 3 will run in trial mode for 30 days of actual use, which should be more than enough to figure out your license situation.
