Scrivener is incredibly flexible, as I’m sure you’ll agree. If you want even more flexibility in color-coding, you can add Aeon Timeline to your writing tools.
You could, for example, create an item type (let’s call it “Progress”) and create items assigned to their own unique colors. You can view and update the status of each folder/document (in my case, Novel, Chapter, Scene, or Passage) in any number of views in Aeon Timeline. The cool thing is Aeon Timeline syncs with Scrivener.
The result is you would have your document status in associated colors without having to enter the status in two places.
