Paper height in full screen - centering in screen

Just a thought. I use the 24 inch cinema display. It makes the page a bit long in full screen. I know you can reduce this by changing the page height. But this only reduces the height from the bottom of the screen. Wouldn’t it be more logical if the reduction happened at top and bottom so the page gets centred in the screen? Looks a bit funny on this monitor if it begins at the top and ends three quarters of the way down.

Actually what it does is try to keep the paper in the top third of the screen, so that you are not lowering your eyes too much. If you carry on reducing the paper height, you’ll see that a gap will appear at the top after a while, too. Basically, the algorithm is a bit flawed so that the top only gets a gap after a certain amount - it could certainly do with a bit of tweaking.
All the best,

This is the schoolteacher in you coming out, isn’t it? ‘Sit up straight at the back there!’

Keith… I write nearly horizontal!

No big deal. Just thought I’d mention it. Scrivener 2 is still wonderful.

Ha. Remind me after Christmas to take a look at this, though. A little more work on the algorithm shouldn’t be too much work.
Thanks!
All the best,
Keith

No really - it’s not a big deal. I’m sure you’ve got more important things to work on.
