In previous versions of Scrivener, when I copied text from a Word doc and pasted it into a Scrivener doc, the footnotes came along with it as footnotes (inline). This is fine. But this doesn’t seem to happen in Scrivener 3.0 for Windows. The text of the footnote does appear, but simply as regular text inserted at the point where the footnote was. The footnote number and formatting both disappear. 
This is a step backward, not forward. Is there some way to get back the function that I had in the old Scrivener, where the footnote is retained in footnote form when copying and pasting from Word into Scrivener? This must be technically possible because old Scrivener was capable of doing it.
