Is it possible to perform searches using SQL operators, such as searching for this and this, excluding this?
Scrivener stores your project content in RTF files, not a database, so to use SQL syntax, you would have to import the RTF files into a database tool that supports full text search, then design and run your queries.

What do you think about rg search, as tool to refine searching.
I have never used it because I seldom need a grep tool. Any grep tool with which you are comfortable will probably get you what you want. None of them will integrate into Scrivener, so you are going have to invent a way to correlate the file name/contents from the grep results into a binder item in Scrivener.
