Hi - I’m on a new computer and have an issue I never had previously:
paragraph / pilcrow characters shows up when I highlight text.

I have Invisibles set to “Hide” on the View->Text-editing menu.
I’m using Scrivener 3.4 on Mac Sonoma 14.7.6.
Any help much appreciated. I’ve searched around for answers & can’t find.
This is expected behavior. Why is it a problem?
You can also turn it off if you really don’t find it very useful. Settings: Appearance: Textual Marks: Options: Show invisible characters when selecting text.
Incidentally the Colors tab in that same area is where you could make these markings a bit less stark, if that’s part of the problem (that shade of red and blue together puts my teeth on edge, so I wouldn’t blame you!).
