It’s just come to my attention that I should be able to pin individual projects to my taskbar, but I do not have that option available. When I right click the Scrivener icon in the taskbar, I’m only given three options: Scrivener, Pin/Unpin this program from taskbar, Close all windows.
If I try to drag the project file onto the taskbar, I’m given the crossed out circle that I’m not allowed to dragdrop that item.
How do I activate this feature?
Open the .scriv folder of the project you want pinned. Then drag the Scrivener Project file (should be called Project if you’ve never renamed it) to the Scrivener icon in the taskbar. Voila, it’s done.
A caveat: You must rename the Project file to whatever you want the pinned project name to be, otherwise it will just say “Project” in your pinned jumplist.
Edit: Also, I believe Scrivener has to be closed for this drag-and-drop system to work. At least, that’s the only way I could get it to work.
Second Edit (Since I didn’t read your other post before this one): You have to pin Scrivener to the taskbar first, THEN you can drag project files over and pin them to the (already pinned) Scrivener icon.
Ah. I thought they were suppose to be available right clicking the icon, but this is good. Thanks!
