Plan mode

Hello,

In “mode plan”, is there a possibility to have a “return to the lign” in the columns we add ? If it so, I did not found the option.

Is there also a possibility to print / transform in .pdf the plan mode view ? I tried to create through the “print” option, but it generated a doc with only the title and summary part.

thank you very much.

On a Mac you can insert new lines with Option-Return. However that won’t be terribly useful because by default metadata fields only print up to the width of the cell and cut off the rest. What you probably want is a field that wraps, like the Synopsis does:

  1. Go into Project ▸ Project Settings... and select the Custom Metadata tab.
  2. Select the field name you want to change.
  3. Tick the Wrap text checkbox.

Click OK once you are done. You will still need to use Opt-Return to insert multiple lines, but at least now you can see them in their entirety.

The PDF print is very simple, it is not meant for printing complicated layout like tables. What you would want to use is the File ▸ Export ▸ Outliner Contents as CSV.... This can then be opened in a spreadsheet program, like Excel, LibreOffice Calc or Numbers, where this kind of layout is much more natural.

Hello,

Have a good day.
