Please put "ADD COMMENT" into contextual menu (option-click on Mac).

Writing in writing mode, if one needs to comment a word or a sentence, one would just want to activate the string and then option-click to add a comment, instead of activating the menu, again a distracting action.
Thank you!

…the keyboard shortcut might be an option to circumnavigate the problem, but in this case (Shift-Command-*) it is overridden by the system and just takes a screenshot). Anyhow, I think the having it in the contextual menu is a must.
Thank you!

That must be something to do with your keyboard settings; I presume you’re using something like a German keyboard.

I use Shift-Cmd-8 all the time to add comments … screenshot is Shift-Cmd-3 or Shift-Cmd-4 for a marqueed screenshot.

Although Apple seems to be slowly consuming the entire number row year after year with more screenshot shortcuts, I don’t think they are quite up to 8 yet in most cases. That said, you can change those in System Preferences: Keyboard: Shortcuts. Or you can change Scrivener’s shortcut for this command if you prefer to take screenshots with 8, in that same area.

Unfortunately we couldn’t add everything to the contextual menu that has been requested over the years. If we did, at this point if you right-clicked you would pretty much get the entire application menu.
