position of new document/folder in tree is inconsistent

Hi all,

Long-time loiterer, first-time poster.

If I add a new document/folder with CRL+N in the binder, it is created immediately below the current selected item. If I do it in the outline view (in the main pane) then it adds it to the very bottom of the list which is far less helpful as I then have to move it up manually.

It would make more sense if this behaviour was consistent and added the new text document or folder immediately beneath whatever is selected in the outline.

Thanks for the report! This is indeed a known bug with the Outliner that we already have on the list to fix. Once fixed, the outliner should work in the same fashion that the binder does.
