I’m sure some LaTeX users must have asked for this before, but in the light of Scrivener two-oh’s fantastic Inspector footnotes and the equally exciting “Title settings” dialog, the following feature would make a great addition:
I’d kindly ask, if you could add some kind of “inline” export for footnotes to Scrivener’s Plain Text export and an option to choose your own prefix and suffix? The resulting text file for LaTeX would look something like this:
This is obviously not as urgent as other features or bugfixes, but if you could put it on the list for 2.5…
Hmm, while it would mean not using Scrivener’s nifty inline footnote feature (or the offline one for that matter), you could so something along these lines with Replacements. Consider the following setup:
Replace:
[[$@]]
With:
\footnote{$@}
The $@ token captures anything matching in between the suffix and prefix around it in the Replace column, stores it, and then dumps it into the provided location(s) in the With column.
Like I said, might not be the best solution for this particular problem, but might give you some nifty ideas for Scrivener+LaTeX usage.
No, not for this particular problem, but this is nonetheless fantastic news. Thank you! This will come in handy for language and font switching commands, which are not covered at all by MMD.
