Problem compiling to .mobi / KindleGen v2.9

Hi,

I am a newbie and want to compile my book to the kindle format.
I downloaded KindleGen v2.9.
I work with Scrivener v2.8.1 and told Scrivener where to find KindleGen on my Mac mini (MacOS 10.13.6).
Scrivener can access KindleGen (sandbox setting).

Every time I try to compile it I get an error message:
the KindleGen does not work - it seems that the KindleGen is not a legit KindleGen file. Whatever that means. :confused:

I am told to re-download and re-install it.
I tried it. Doesn’t work.

Any hints?

Try moving KindleGen to your applications folder.
