problems with new text document

Hi,
I’m using the latest version: Version: 2.9.9.20 Beta (1224521) 64-bit - 09 Mar 2021

  1. When I click the plus sign to create a new text, the new document has about 15 tabs in it that I don’t want. I can’t find where to eliminate them.
  2. I have set up in Options/Formatting to use Verdana 12 point font, at 1.1x spacing. Yet when I create a new text, it comes up Segoe UI 9 point, at 1.5x
    I hope these can be solved!
