Project Statistics does not remember Settings

I prefer not to have footnotes included and only count documents marked for export. However, after restart Scrivener does not remember my settings. This should be fixed.

Statistics counting, along with certain other settings, are considered “transitory”; that is, they are the sort of things you may wish to change between sessions, which is why they are not remembered. Such settings are usually not remembered between sessions in other apps, too. Not that it would be too difficult to change this behaviour, mind - what do other users think?

Hmm… I don’t really agree. Copywrite does remember whether I want notes included or not. Scrivener should respect this too. It’s annoying to have to set my preferences each time.

Also, the size of the document statistics window should be remembered. It is a great feature to have a word frequency overview… but with long documents it is difficult to read the bars. This window should remember its size that has been set by the user.

I have added your suggestions to the list of things to consider in the next couple of updates.
Best,
Keith

I’m with gryphonent on this one–I was surprised to discover that these settings didn’t persist. It’s not hard to adjust to, of course (so easy that I didn’t even think of posting about it), but I wouldn’t be surprised if most users expect these settings to be persistent.

Not that I didn’t momentarily enjoy the idea that I had finished four more pages of my book than I actually had!
