I installed Scrivener on my new computer but there doesn’t seem to be a way to change the page colour behind where the text of my novel is displayed (the middle pane). I used to have it set to grey, which was easier on the eyes than white, but this doesn’t seem to be an option anymore. Maybe the page colour settings were moved to another location? Thanks for any help.
Did you find a solution to this issue? I’m trying to set the page colour and just can’t find a way to do it. TIA (Mac OS 15.2 - Scrivener 3.4)
Found it. (Scrivener Menu - Settings - Light Editors - Editor Background). Not the most logical place for it, in my opinion.
I don’t know that that will help the OP, as s/he is on Windows (this is the Windows forum) and you’re a Mac user.

It’s very similar in Windows, the only difference is the File ▸ Options...
command being how you open the window.
That said, there is one difference with Windows if you want a light editor in a dark theme: you just change the main editor colours to be that way, in Appearance: Main Editor: Colors. There is much less of a concept of “dark mode” like on the Mac, so one can mix and match more freely.
Wow, such an old thread. I found something close to a solution. I found the “Themes” under the top menu: Window/Themes/ and I selected Violet Haze. (I’m using Windows 10 - Scrivener 3.0.)
Thanks for the help.
