[QUESTION] How to get rid of all formatting when pasting?

Scrivener Scrivener for macOS

When I copy text from another editor I get everything including the background. How can I best clear this? Document > reset just changes font and size, not colour and background.

Paste and Match Style is probably what you want.

thanks but still looks the same. Looks like all my mac editors preserve the formatting.
