Recovering lost project

I’ve been working on a project for weeks. Today, I opened my laptop and find my mac has rebooted itself. Now, I cannot find my project.

No sign of the project in my backup folder. Not under my “recents” project tab, though my previous ones are all there. It’s like my computer reset itself back to a few months ago.

Does anyone have any insight on how to recover it?

Have you searched Finder for .scriv files?

Are you using Dropbox, iCloud, or any similar service?

When you say you’ve been working on it for weeks, has Scrivener been running all that time? Is this the first the Mac has restarted?
