Remove some tabs from my text

Hi
I just installed Scrivener and pasted my novel-to-be from Word in the Novel Format.

Each paragraph starts with a tab, but NOT after a blank line. Then I want the new line to outline with the rest of the paragraph.
Scrivener however puts a tab after each new line, and I cannot delete it with the backspace.

Could you help please? I only fond topics started in 2016 on an earlier version, which were not helpful…

Use the ruler. Either ⌘R or View > Text Editing > Show Ruler. Then you can mess with the paragraph initial tab stop. Would advise you read that section of the user manual (you have a copy as it comes with the installation) Help > Scrivener Manual. Also from the Help menu you might want to go to the Video Tutorials.
