Hi guys! I have a question involving how to remove the files in a draft folder entirely from a scrivener project, preferably to another project. Here’s a quick rundown of my problem:
I have been working on a novel with extensive worldbuilding, and have for this utilized the research tab a ton - everything is really organized, and I don’t want to mess with it or rebuild it in another project. However, I’ve realized that there are some major plot issues with the draft I’m working on (90k) in, to the point that I need to take it in entirely a new direction and rework the age level. To this end, I’m going to rewrite the entire thing, and I don’t need the 90k draft except to occasionally reference a few scenes. I don’t want to keep it in the project, because this novel is going to be 100-120k, and I’ve learned from experience keeping over 200k in a project (well, at least on my computer), makes the whole thing slow down.
My question is: is there a way to move the draft to another project, preferably keeping the chapters intact? For instance, could I just import each chapter into an empty project, and if so, can I then delete those chapters entirely from the original project? I notice when I move them to trash, they don’t actually disappear, so I’d like a way to delete them entirely. Sorry if this is a bit of a basic question, but though I love scrivener, I haven’t entirely gotten the hang of all the features yet.
Thanks!
