I’ve been looking at some older documents where I need to remove the tabs (arrow symbols). I thought I could do this with find and replace but I don’t seem to be able to highlight the arrow symbol. I enclose a screenshot to show what I mean.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
Press “option tab” in the search field, you’ll see the tab character.
Replace with whatever you want, or leave the replace field blank.
This is a macOS feature.
You can also use “option return” to look for paragraph returns or “option command return” to look for line breaks, if necessary.
