I’ve downloaded the trial version of Scrivener for Window, and have worked my way througn the tutorials to Part 2. It seemed OK up until now, but now it is repeatedly crashing, when I try to follow the instructions in the tutorial.
Scrivener looks like an excellent tool, but I’m rapidly losing confidence. I’d be most grateful of any suggestions you have to make it stable. Thanks, Paul
Sorry you’re running into a problem! Could you give some more details about where exactly you’re running into the crash, what steps in the tutorial you’re taking that leads up to it? For instance, are you getting a crash when you try to play an audio file, or are you getting a crash when you try to compile with certain settings? If you can provide some more information about what you’re seeing, we’ll better be able to diagnose the problem and find a solution. Please also check Help > About Scrivener to ensure you’re running the latest 1.6.1 version of Scrivener and let us know what version of Windows you’re using. Thanks!
Thanks for your reply. I now have Scrivener running on Windows 8 and it never crashes. It’s a great tool.
I suspect the problem was my old steam-powered laptop. Thanks again, Paul
