Replacing image files but preserving Scrivnerdata

Hi,

I’m working on a technical book which includes screen shots, and i’m using Scrivener to do the first draft, and I refer to the screen shots when writing. I drag the screen shot image into Scrivener’s Research area and add metadata (notes on the card, other stuff). Now I need to retake some of the screen shots. Is there a way to replace the image contents and preserve the Scrivnerdata, short of replacing the image files in the document bundle.

What I would do is load the image in your external editor. There is a button for doing this in the footer bar. Once you have the file loaded, you can just paste the revised version in over it and save it—Scrivener’s copy will be updated.
