RESOLVED: OneDrive inserts itself into my save path

What did work was to copy the project.scriv folder from my F:\ backup drive and then follow your directions from there.

I’m please that your project is back on track.
If you’re running Scrivener on one machine only, it’s best to keep your WIP - work in progress on the hard disk and backup to other devices and services, both automatically and manually.

Thanks Jim. I’m running Win11 so the Dtopbox procedure seems to be different, but I’ve found some resources to sort that out when I can get to it. With the help of the forum I now can can load my project from the storage file on my hard drive, so I should be all set from here.
