If you’re interested in a solution: From this post, it sounds like current versions of Scrivener should stay active after they were able to contact the license server once. So maybe double-check that you are running the latest version.

You and I obviously have different concepts about what constitutes a rant.
I’m using Version 1.9.17.0
I like Scrivener a lot and don’t wish to use anything else but this thing is pretty annoying. I had been using Scrivener for a few years before it started happening.
