Update: Scrivener 3.1.6 now avoids full selection when right-clicking on binder, outliner and corkboard items (where in the latter two cases, one is using Corkboard|Outliner Selection Affects, to auto-load).
Ah, thanks for that. This thing always bugged me.
At last! I raised this in 2022 and someone posted they had raised in four years earlier! And I was told it was a “feature” of the underlying software stack… Nevertheless, praise be!!!
Thanks to the team for doing this! I get the impression it was one of those small changes to the user experience that however required a lot of work under the hood!
I have just noticed that right click in search results still does a full selection. It would be really great if the new non-opening behaviour could be applied there too! Thank you in advance! @AmberV
Thanks for finding that. I’ve added a note to the ticket and re-opened it.
Thanks @AmberV ! Is it complex and is there any outlook for fixing it?
I wouldn’t imagine it would be complex since we got this working in the corkboard, that is certainly less orthodox than a variation of how the sidebar is presented. But you never know!
