Right click menu navigation

Ran a quick search through here and didn’t find this request, which is a bit surprising to me as it’s probably the most frustrating problem I have with Scrivener.

Menu Navigation. When I right click anywhere in Scrivener I have to very carefully move to the selection I want, to make sure the menu I’ve selected doesn’t disappear.

For example, if I’m in the corkboard view and I right click the ‘Status’ (or whatever you have these named as) and I have half a dozen statuses there, if I move the mouse diagonally to the bottom status, the menu disappears.Scrivener example 1.png I have to move at a right angle to get there to keep the menu from jumping to something else.Scrivener example 2.png

Maybe there is some setting or keystroke I’m unaware of that would delay menu selection, but my searches haven’t turned up anything.

For an example of how I’d like it to behave, try right clicking in Windows Explorer and select ‘View’. The switching of menus based on mouse movement is delayed by about a second. My mouse has to remain stationary over a menu selection for a second before Windows switches to that menu. Scrivener’s is instantaneous. This isn’t really a bug because it’s not malfunctioning, but it would be great if the menus were a little easier to navigate.

Thanks!
