Same chapter three times

Hello everyone!

I’ve just created an ebook using only Scrivener. 65 chapters, 650 pages.
A table of contents was also created during compilation, using HTML.
64 chapters without any problems, everything formatted 100% the same, but one chapter appears THREE times.
Why is this happening? How can I change it?

Example:
CHAPTER
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Chapter 4

Is that your table of content, or the result of the compile? Like: your book has 3 of the same chapter (?)
or is it only in the toc? … (“toc” = table of content)

The HTML table of contents is driven by section breaks, so sections within a chapter can generate ToC entries. If those sections don’t have names of their own, they’ll pick up the previous named entity: Chapter 3, in this case.

Please excuse my late reply!

There are only three entries in the table of contents, so not three additional chapters.

There are no breaks in the chapter. In none of the 65 chapters.

However, they did exist before. Perhaps remnants of the source code were not deleted.

I solved it by creating a new chapter and pasting the contents of the old one. Now only one chapter is visible.

Thank you so much for your help!

By the way: My book is finished, 666 pages, and I uploaded it to Amazon yesterday. They’re reviewing it now.
Without you, I wouldn’t have been able to do it so quickly and beautifully.
Thank you so much!
