I have a document that whenever i save one of the text files, upon reopening the font is changed from Garamond regular to Garamond BookCondensed. This is a super pain, because I can’t just select all the text and change it to regular because then I lose all my Bold and Italic formatting.
Anyone have this problem? Anyone know how to solve it?

Have you tried Zap Gremlins ? (It’s a real function.)
Use Help / Search Menus to find the function. I don’t know where it is – Windows user, that feature absent for me.

Sadly, that zap doesn’t fix things. Is there a way to have all Garamond BookCondensed change to Garamond Regular?
In my experience this happens on the OS level. On mobile devices I faced problems like this quite a number of times, on macOS not yet.
The save way to handle this is to strip down a font family to the basics, which mostly would be regular, italics, bold and bold-italics. If you don’t need the BookCondensed and other “extra” fonts, deactivate them.
CMD+A to select all.
Change the font to Garamond Regular.
Create a new document that has a Garamond Regular font as default.
In your old document, select all again (that you converted to Garamond Regular) and copy.
Paste the content into your new document.
Delete the old document.
Reason: Scrivener, somehow, doesn’t simply respect the formatting of the underlying document that you’ve change the font in, unless you use Documents > Convert > Text to Default Formatting - but then you risk losing bold, etc.
I had the same pain with a Character List that kept reverting to the old font when I inserted a new character, which is now fixed.
